Wei Shi named as 2025 Optica Fellow

At the end of January 2025, Optica’s Board of Directors elected 121 new members from 27 countries to the Society’s 2025 Fellow Class. Fellows are selected on the basis of several factors, including their outstanding contributions to research, business, teaching, engineering and service to Optica and the community. 

Among the Fellows is Wei Shi, professor at Université Laval and member of the COPL. 

Prof. Shi is recognized for his outstanding contributions to silicon photonic integrated circuits for high-capacity optical communications.
