Congratulations to Professor Wei Shi on his nomination as a recipient of the 2026 Dorothy Killam Fellowship!

The National Research Council of Canada has announced the recipients of the 2026 Dorothy Killam Fellowships , which support outstanding researchers by enabling them to conduct large-scale projects of major public interest in various scientific fields. We are proud to announce that Professor Wei Shi is among this year's recipients.

Professor Shi’s fellowship will support his project “Rethinking how data is moved within computing systems to support a more energy-efficient and resilient digital future.” His research explores new ways to improve how data flows within computing infrastructure—an essential challenge as the world faces rapidly growing demands from artificial intelligence, large-scale computing, and data-intensive technologies.
